SpiceJet COO Sanjiv Kapoor, speaking at the 2014 CAPA Asia Aviation & LCC Summit, stated (13-Oct-2014) LCCs now account for around 70% of the Indian MARKET and since there are LCCs that are MAKING MONEY, there is a formula that works”. Mr Kapoor said it is not rocket science and either you have scale advantages or you have to differentiate. Mr Kapoor said SpiceJet is not a scale carrier so there is no point in competing on scale or frequency.
